Many news outlets picked up the false story, including <a href="http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Hitler_doll_story_found_to_be_hoaxed"><em>Wikinews</em>.</a></p> <p>Also fooled were <em><a class="extiw" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBC_News" title="w:BBC_News">BBC News</a></em>, <em><a class="extiw" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Telegraph" title="w:The_Telegraph">The Telegraph</a></em> and other major publications (Like ME). The story quickly spread as various media outlets quickly picked up and passed on the falsified report.
